When I came back from backpacking in Thailand, I had an inexplicably strong craving for pizza. Good thing I had just moved to the pizza capital of the US (Chicago produces pies not pizzas in my opinion) and within my first week, consumed 5 different types of pizza in Manhattan. Since then, I’ve made pizza pilgrimages to Brooklyn in search of the crispiest crust, the tangiest sauces, and the freshest toppings.
