About the Author

Growing up in suburban Pittsburgh with Taiwanese parents who grew up in Brazil, food has always been an important part of my life not only as a valued commodity but also as a respected craft and method of bringing together generations and cultures. I was instilled from a young age with two core beliefs about food:

  1. No food can be wasted at home

  2. Once you find your favorite thing on the menu, you don’t order anything else

When I moved to the food mecca that is New York City where eating out regularly can mean spending hundreds of dollars a month (or on one single meal), I resolved that I was going to save as much as possible by efficiently using all the food I had at home and when I ate out, I would aim to eat the best of the best.

From this, the concept of Lists and Leftovers took form. The logical side of the website produces up to date rankings of the best things I’ve eaten in the city organized by dish. The creative side of the website features different ways of reusing the same ingredients in a variety of dishes across a week at home.

Whether you’re feeling like an extrovert ready to take on the town or an introvert humming away in your kitchen, there’s a little bite of something delicious for you.

So what are you waiting for? Carpe dumpling
