This humble looking place is on the same street as some Prospect Heights heavy hitters like Olmsted and Chuko, it shouldn’t be skipped over. If you’re looking for some classic southern fried chicken, this is your place. The chicken is surprisingly not greasy but still retains a good crunch, the cornbread is shockingly tasty and crumbles in your mouth, and the mac n cheese and mash potatoes taste home made and wholesome. This hefty meal comes at a very reasonable price point and satisfies the soul.
