Upper West Side

I'm proud to say that I have finally found my neighborhood sushi spot. Sushi Yasaka (strategically located close to the museum and Trader Joe's) on the Upper West is hands down the best value sushi restaurant I have found in the city. Particularly at lunch, there are plenty of affordable options including the Miyabi (6 pieces of nigiri, 10 pieces of sashimi, and 1 role) for $28 and an omakase (12 pieces and one role) at $45. The sushi was incredibly fresh, without too much rice, and lots of variety. At lunch they also offered a fantastic lunch set deal with a piece of grilled fish that I will have to come back and try at some point. It's no wonder that this place is often crowded but if you have a small group, the wait is generally not long especially if you are ok with sitting at the bar.
