I've regularly stopped by the Besfren beauty store next door to browse their $1 face mask racks while killing some time before a table opens up at BCD Tofu House or Soju Haus but I never got around to trying the desserts in the cafe until this week. The shop is small but they offer a surprisingly wide variety of desserts including cream puffs, macaroons, pastries, and the donuts and ice cream pictured. The donut was much nicer than I expected with a strong chamomile flavor but not overly sweet or dense. I opted for the matcha and taro swirl but the matcha was too bitter for my liking and overpowered the decent taro. If I go back again, I would only get the taro. All the desserts were very pretty but be forewarned, they were also sold out of many items by the time I got there around 7pm.
