Midtown and West Village

If you're looking for a quick pick me up or a treat yo self kind of breakfast, head to The Donut Project for a unique and delicious pastry. Donuts here have a very light and fluffy texture (similar to a Dough donut compared to the much thicker Donut Plant donuts) and come in a range of unique flavors. I opted for the everything donut with cream cheese icing which tasted shockingly similar to most Asian desserts with a mix of sesame and cream flavors. It was super delicious and had just a touch of salt that balanced it out and is now possibly my favorite donut in the city. I'd like to come back to try the ricotta filled donut with beet icing or the olive oil and black pepper one (but honestly they all sound amazing).
