Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

I haven't been to a Max Brenner outpost since my time in Philly but my coworkers spontaneously decided to finally get our chocolate fix after work last week. Fun fact: did you know it's an Israeli chocolate company? Although the chocolate bar also offers real food (American staples like burgers, waffle fries, and a really mean mac n cheese), we had already picked up falafel sandwiches as Maoz so we opted for just dessert. We ordered the sharing fondue which was more than enough for 3 people as well as the salted caramel milkshake. Everything was decadent and along with two types of chocolate, the set also came with a little fire to roast the marshmallows. My favorites were definitely the strawberries (everything else was very sweet on its own and so the strawberries were the only things that were tart to pair with the chocolate), dark chocolate fondue, and the chocolate "barks" which were flaky almost twix like pieces of candy. I grew to like the crepe that was filled with chocolate cheesecake although the filling was much saltier/cheesier than I was expecting. Lastly, the milkshake was incredibly sweet but the consistency was perfect and so was the whipped cream.

If you do come here, I highly recommend the fondue but generally everything is good from the hot chocolate to the ice cream desserts (just make sure to get something with chocolate in it silly!). In the past the only item that I felt like was overhyped and sub-par in comparison to everything else were the dessert pizzas.
