Hell's Kitchen and Upper West Side

Island Burgers and Shakes is perfect place to go if you're craving a burger. Although not as customizable in terms of protein as a bareburger, it more than makes up for it in bread options, topping choices and sheer quantity. I ordered the Hobby which was so large I could not bit into it and had to eat it in sections. The burger itself was good but not exceptional (like that of the Spotted Pig) but the toppings were great, different and in large quantities. The texas toast was also a nice touch as it soaked up all the gravy. The sweet potato fries were also just the right size (not too think or too thin) and crispy. I'd like to come back to try the curried sour cream as well as a shake.
