Hell's Kitchen
I had never really had Dominican food before eating at Zoralie's and found it to be incredibly hearty and flavorful. Zoralie's has plenty of specials each day that make it a very affordable place to get a full dinner. In particular, I found the mofongo (beaten plantains with chicken fried into a bowl shape and then served with a meaty gravy sauce) was particularly good. In addition, another very traditional dish I tried was the tripe soup and although flavorful and a tad sour, the tripe was not very soft and easy to eat and I couldn't get over the funky aftertaste it has. Although the décor is bare bones, the service and smiles are good.
