Morningside Heights
This tiny little gem spins out delicious, hearty, and cheap Vietnamese food close by Columbia and the park. The bahn mis are ridiculously juicy and tender with a nice balance of meaty flavor and tart pickled vegetables. Pick up a few with friends and enjoy them with a picnic in the park for a lovely afternoon and alternative to brunch. I'm looking for an excuse to come back here to try the pho now that it's cold outside. There are also plenty of side dishes, desserts and beverages (Vietnamese coffee anyone?) to choose from.
