Chelsea

For Zahav diehards, Dizengoff is the closest (and much more accessible option) for those that live in New York. The sister restaurant is in Chelsea market and serves the same deliciously creamy hummus and fluffy pita in a much more casual location. What most people don't know though is that Dizengoff also hosts small private dinners for $60 a person at 7:30pm limited at 20 people with multiple delicious courses which you must reserve ahead of time. Vegetarian options are also available upon request. The pre-fixe menu came with a yogurt and cucumber opener, the mind-blowingly good hummus, and a roasted chicken with couscous and almonds. All were phenomenal and flavorful but my favorite is still the hummus (don't forget to ask for extra pita which they pull straight out of the oven!). The lemonades were also very good. This is certainly a meal that is worth booking months in advance and is such good value for the quality and quantity of food you get.
