Mykonos, Greece
Scorpios is the definition of hype. The atmosphere is a weird mix of Coachella-like decor, attractive servers in garb remarkably reminiscent of scenes from Tatooine in Star Wars, and the panoramic view which somehow all makes sense beneath an overlay of trance music. This upscale restaurant transitions into a SABS/instagrammer dream at sunset as all patrons pay homage to the fiery orb that descends into the sea and then afterward, turns into a beach club which is more on the lounge-y side than other clubs on the island. Note that reservations are necessary, particularly around the sunset hour but we managed to snag a table with a lot of haggling with the hostess right when the restaurant opened at lunch. The food, although ludicrously overpriced like all things on this party island, was very good (we ordered the sea bass and the chicken). However, the thing to get here is the lamb leg. It's literally a whole leg of lamp drenched in herbs and fire grilled then carved at the table. It requires a minimum of 3 people to order (and even with three people I would still consider the endeavor aggressive which is saying something) so make a friend if you need to. It was one of my greatest regrets of Mykonos (which is also saying something).
