Upper West Side

There's something about southern food that makes it so conducive towards brunch (maybe it's the all the fried stuff and carbs) and as one f the best places to get comfort food, Jacob's Pickles has one of the best brunches in the city. If you are really into pickled vegetables like I am (kimchi, sauerkraut, you name it) I recommend a sampler of the pickles and you can always take the extras home or buy more if you really like a certain type. As for the entrée, get anything with a biscuit. Note, they do not take reservations for brunch so be prepared for a wait or plan to get there early.
