Lower East Side
After I our party lost our reservation at Café Cortadito for brunch when someone was super super late (oops), Our large group wandered around East Village/Lower East Side hopelessly trying to find a brunch spot that wasn't already packed to the gills. We stumbled upon this kitschy Mexican place and made the most of the Saturday afternoon fiasco. For $26 dollars, we dined for 1.5 hrs on huevos rancheros and bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's, margaritas, and sangria. Although this place is nothing spectacular, it came to me in a time of need and was exactly what a hungry and hungover birthday party was looking for and because of that, will always have a special place in my heart.
