Hell's Kitchen
Amongst the numerous thai restaurants in Hell’s Kitchen (shout out to the Yum Yum family), Pure Thai Cookhouse was the only one that could meet my standards after coming back from backpacking in Thailand for a month with flavorful food and an assortment of condiments like chili oil and fish sauce on every table. There is a reason why during dinner times, there is always a 30 minute wait but put your name in an grab a drink at one of the many bars/restaurants around the area (my recommendations are Valhalla for beer or Ardesia for wine) until they call you back. Yes, the pad thai and drunken noodles are good but this is a great place to try something new and authentic. The curries really hit home as well as the papaya salad and ratchaburi crab and pork dry noodles which bring me back to my time in Chiang Mai.
