Hell's Kitchen

My knowledge of Dominican food is very limited but I ordered the mofongo and pernil based on yelp reviews and was not disappointed. Mofongo is smash plantains that are fried with spices and eaten with some form of sauce or beans on the side. I found it incredibly hearty and suprisingly flavorful balancing out the salt from the rest of the meal. I also tried the tripe soup which was delicious and not too thick however it comes with a lot of tripe so if you don't really like it, maybe skip. The prices were very reasonable and there is a special every day.
