Murray Hill and East Village

My most loyal friend in college college was mac'n'cheese. Whether it was around finals or after a long night, nothing soothes the soul like noodles and cheese. I had plenty of the grocery store variety and even got pretty good at making it from scratch myself but there's something about shops dedicated to these yellow noodles that gets me. S'mac, which cooks its mac'n'cheese in cast iron skillets, has a variety of different types of mac such as the parisienne with brie, figs, shiitake mushrooms and rosemary to my personal favorite, the buffalo chicken. S'mac also has gluten-free and vegan options. The Nosh size is still pretty sizeable and heavy and compared to other mac'n'cheese focused joints, this is the best in the city.
