Brooklyn Heights
This shop reminds me a lot of Xi'an's Famous Foods with its fast service, lack of seating area at peak times, and casual atmosphere. I would not be surprised if this Shanghai street eats place turns into a chain (secretly I pray it does and comes to Manhattan). There are several appetizers such as soup dumplings and shu mai but the best one is the pork pan fried buns which are a bread-ier version of dumplings from Shanghai. The bottoms are super crunchy but the inside has a flavorful bit of meat and the bread on the side is soaked in the juices. The noodle dishes and other appetizers are great too.
