Chinatown

This is my reliable xiao long bao fix in Manhattan. The service is brisk like most of Chinatown and the wait can be 30+ mins but the crab/pork version has a salty and pronounced crab flavor and the accompanying sauce has just the right amount of ginger. The skins are super thin and there is a respectable amount of broth. For soup dumpling eating directions by the huffington post see here.

What I ordered: steamed tiny buns with crab meat and pork

Price: $6.25 for 8
