Hide-Chan

Hell's Kitchen and Midtown East

This is the only ramen shop in New York I have found so far that allows you to choose the type of noodle you want (straight vs. wavy) and how firm you want them (determined by how long they are cooked). The broth is good but the noodles really shine because you can get them exactly how you like them.

What I ordered: Hakata Spicy

Average price per bowl: $10-$15

Inside scoop: Don’t be confused. Hide-chan is on top of the midtown east location of Totto Ramen (talk about keeping your enemies close). It also has some pretty unique décor including a wall of masks.
